The new term starts on January 30 at 10.15.
The beginners class starts at 9.30 and continues until 10.00.
You are more than welcome to attend However, if you wish to start at 10.15 can you please wait outside until the beginners class finishes.

BEGINNERS CLASS 2014
Welcome to our Blog Site.
A few notes regarding the class.
Place: Tall Trees, Tanah Merah.
Time: 9.30 until 12.15
Starting date: Thursday 30 January.
Requirements:
1) You will need a Ukulele.
There a three main types. A soprano, a Concert, and a Tenor.
If you do not have one yet you can wait until after our first class where I will show you a sample of each. Please if you are going to buy one before attending don't spend too much until you are sure you wish to continue.
2)You will need the "Red Book".
This is a little book with a red cover. It is called "Uke'N Play Ukulele" by Mike Jackson. Please make sure you get the one with the Red cover. You should be able to buy one for about $20 at most music stores.
3)You will notice to the right of this post a list of songs in red.
If you click on the song title the song will come up. It would be handy if you could print these out and put them in a folder. I add new songs about every 2 to 3 weeks.
4)You will also need a Music Stand. Most music shops sell them. I got mine for about $15.
You do not have to have any previous music experience. We play by chords and do not read music. You will also find that for the first few weeks the fingers on you left hand may become sore but once they harden up you will be fine.
The format for the class will be: from 9.30 until 10.00 we will practise chords and chord changing and introduce you to strumming and finding the beat. At 10.15 we will join with the singalong group and have some fun until 12.15.
